What Zubio does
Zubio is two products that share one system. Customers get an app to find service businesses near them, see real prices and real reviews, pick the attendant they like, and hold the slot with a deposit. Businesses get the software that runs everything after the booking — the calendar, the point of sale, staff commissions, expenses and profit.
Most booking tools stop at the calendar and leave the shop to reconcile the money by hand at the end of the day. Zubio carries a single appointment all the way through to checkout, staff pay and the profit line, so nothing falls between two apps.
Why we built it
Booking an appointment in Nigeria usually means a phone call, a WhatsApp thread, or turning up and hoping. For the customer that means waiting. For the shop owner it means no-shows, a notebook for a calendar, and no reliable answer to a simple question: did this month actually make money?
Deposits fix the first problem — a booking someone has paid something towards is a booking they keep. Putting sales, commissions and expenses in the same system as the calendar fixes the second, because the numbers add themselves up as the day happens rather than at the end of it.
We built for Naira, for how Nigerians actually pay, and for the way multi-branch salons and car washes are actually staffed here, rather than adapting a product designed for somewhere else.
Where we are today
Zubio is in active development and moving toward launch. The platform runs on Amazon Web Services in the EU (Ireland) region, and the business web app is in testing with early partner businesses. The customer mobile apps for iOS and Android are being prepared for release — they are not yet on the App Store or Google Play.
